🌟 From Classroom to Cinema: The 8th Dimension Premieres at the Las Vegas Black Film Festival
A galaxy of talent just landed on the big screen—and it came straight from the halls of Nevada Rise Academy.
We are thrilled to announce that The 8th Dimension, the school’s first student-led sci-fi short film, was officially selected and premiered at the Las Vegas Black Film Festival, one of the city’s most celebrated platforms for Black voices in film and media.
Written and directed by members of the Nevada Rise Film Club under the mentorship of Ms. Profit, this imaginative and inclusive story features a special needs princess, an evil reptilian queen, and an epic journey to restore creativity across dimensions. The film's powerful themes of inclusion, expression, and resilience resonated with the festival’s audience—and earned a standing ovation.
From sponsorships by Raising Cane’s and Concerts for Causes to dazzling performances by student actors and models, this project is a shining example of what happens when education meets imagination.
To see our students walk the red carpet, speak in Q&As, and experience the magic of cinema from the inside out was nothing short of unforgettable.
At Lucrum Entertainment, we’re beyond proud to support youth-centered projects that challenge limits, tell bold stories, and remind the world: greatness starts young.
