🎥👠 RISE to the Future: How Students, Parents & Passion Created a Night to Remember

At Nevada Rise Academy, creativity isn’t just encouraged—it’s celebrated. On a tight school budget and with big dreams, the Nevada Rise Film Club and Modeling Club teamed up to do something extraordinary: they created RISE to the Future, the school’s first-ever off-campus, upscale red carpet event—and the result was pure magic.

Held in collaboration with Moonlight Karaoke, this student-powered evening featured the premiere of the sci-fi short film The 8th Dimension and a dazzling fashion showcase starring the school’s own student models. With a packed audience of parents, peers, and community supporters, the event proved that when students are given a platform, they shine brighter than ever.

Despite economic challenges, the event raised an incredible $5,800 in ticket sales. After covering all expenses, taxes, and gifting, both The Film Club and The Modeling Club walked away with $1,100  profit for each—funds that will allow them to grow  the clubs without pulling from the school’s already tight budget.

The success of RISE to the Future shows just how vital enrichment programs like these are. Clubs may be “extra,” but they’re essential to a well-rounded education. They teach leadership, teamwork, discipline—and in this case, how to launch a red carpet premiere from scratch.

With the support of the school administration and the unwavering encouragement of Nevada Rise families, our students didn’t just dream big—they delivered. We hope this is only the beginning.
